Dr. Mark Baker was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT, attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate degree in International Studies before he went to South Florida for Dental School at Nova Southeastern University. In his youth he served a mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil where he learned Portuguese and grew a love for the people there. His desire to serve has carried forward in his mission to give people the best oral health they can have.

He has always been active in sports and especially enjoys mountain biking in Southern Utah’s gorgeous, red mountains. He loves playing pickleball, tennis, basketball, and going snowboarding. He now enjoys doing sports whenever possible with his kids, which he has five. He and his wife have enjoyed raising a family in the incredible community in Southern Utah. “It’s a dream,” he says. “Years ago, we never imagined we’d end up in St. George, but are so glad we did.”

Dr. Baker has been practicing Dentistry in St. George for over 10 years and has been grateful to see his practice grow and to meet so many great people along the way. He has a passion for providing quality dental care, and has an appetite for learning the latest best practices and procedures in dentistry. When asked what sets his dental practice apart, Dr. Baker says, “I’d have to say it’s the people here. We go out of our way to treat our patients like gold and we basically believe that caring for people and giving good customer service shouldn’t cost anything extra.” He also explained, “besides that, I have invested significantly in using the latest technology to provide quality, evidence based dentistry that takes advantage of the advancements in lasers, anesthetics, imaging and diagnosing, same-day CAD-CAM crowns, and dental materials to give patients the kind of dental care we would want in our own mouths.”
